Jim leads an area that is exclusively externally (college facing) focused. We must carve out a focus on creating HR business partners. We have to align our consultative expertise to the needs, strategic focus areas and desires of the colleges. We need "boots on the ground" in order to support them better and assure that our priorities are aligned...long term.
Pat Honzay, District DirectorCenter for Employee and Organizational Development that includes Talent Management and Succession Planning, Technology Training, and Wellness.
CEOD will continue to focus on the development of talent at all levels within the organization. Employees are provided with learning opportunities to further development of their skills for success in their current position in addition to skills that will help them obtain their next position.
Learning opportunities exist in the areas of leadership and personal leadership, health and safety as well as wellness. Experiential learning opportunities exist through internships, both within the organization and with volunteer organizations in the community. Professional growth funds are administered within CEOD and help support individualized opportunities. Career development and mentoring is also available to assist employees in their personal and professional growth.

CHRISP will be strategically-internally focused...looking toward HR's tomorrow with the firm understanding that many of us are necessarily focused on today. There must be a focus on HR best practice benchmarking, HR Competency Development, HR Strategic Planning, HR Policy and Procedure Development and assuring that we have the behavioral and procedural infrastructure to LIVE our HR Role Statement and Guiding Principles.
